Window Breath

Photo by Johannes Rapprich from Pexels

Silver skinned, not unlike polished knight’s armour

Fingertips an everlasting cold

Similar to a burial in the snow without gloves

The mirror made of water hits back

At human contact

With a cool, metallic warning

Do you want to see?…

Do you want to breathe in

Fear and sheer dare-devil thrills

Of sharks teeth and your own insecurities?

Deep down in the deep blue-purple

Is the darkness and lack of

Reflection

But full

Of repentance.
